Douglas Smith- Level Three business telephone system intallation and repair technician. Trained in high school in computer repair and maintenance (back when component level repair was still around). Trained in the Army as a telecommunications center operator. Trained again to install cable (31L),then added cable splicing (31LF6). Certified with all Panasonic business telephone systems. Certified by Hubbell for premesis wiring, and fiber optic cable installation and splicing. Certified on some other smaller system, and familiar with others like AVAYA, Mitel, and Comdial.

I have been employed with the same company for the last 10 years installing business telephone systems and voicemail. I also install and repair CCTV systems, and IP cameras. Paging and cabling are also in our aresenal of offerings. I would appreciate learning from veterans like myself and helping those that are new.

I have a strong desire to document telecommunications as we know it because it is evolving and soon will not resemble what it is today. I also want those that are in networking to know where they got started.
