Description
[edit]The Clare Solar Shed Network is a community group setup to facilitate the uptake of Renewable Energy in Clare. The community group structure will allow members to avail of government/regional support and also create a durable group dynamic.
2017 Project Outline
[edit]The project for 2017 is to assist 20 members (homeowners/small-businesses) in the transition to generating their own renewable electricity using the following technologies:
- Photovoltaic (PV) Panels (3kWp systems, i.e. peak production of 3kW)
- Battery Storage (to be sized according to the electricity usage patterns of each home)
- Electricity Usage monitoring (internet linked to allow instantaneous and longterm tracking of electricity usage)
