Sandra Lee Sheffield (August 13, 1961) is an American entrepreneur. She is best known for producing and promoting art, entertainment and cultural events--everything from surf rock/punk to jazz to opera to selling tickets and marketing for Bill Graham (before he teamed up with BASS); then on to art exhibitions, film festivals, literary and speaker events, street festivals and small town parades.
Sheffield studied journalism and photography at San Jose City College, on and off, throughout the 1980's, and eventually transferred to the San Francisco Art Institute, where she studied with photographer-instructor Pirkle Jones. Sheffield received a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Photography in 1993. She then study Independent Cinema at San Francisco State University, under filmmaker-instructor Pat Ferrero and receiving a Master of Fine Arts degree in 1997. Sheffield's 1996 short experimental narrative film, Shakespeare’s Sister was nominated for a Student Oscar, and her 1998 documentary, Watershed Keeper won a Gold Apple Award from National Educational Media Network. Sheffield is an accomplished fine art and portrait photographer. Her photographs have been exhibited in galleries and held in noted public and private collections.
