Usage

This test template was developed through discussions at WP:TFD.

Use this test template in place of {{Infobox German railway vehicle}} (or its two redirects {{Infobox German Railway Vehicle}} or {{Infobox Schienenfahrzeug}}) It will take the German language parameters and map them to either {{Infobox train}} or {{Infobox locomotive}} based on the presence of values in certain parameters.

64 parameters from the German infobox can be mapped directly to existing locomotive infobox parameters. In locomotive infobox order these are:

• name = Name (some German locomotive pages display the text in Baureihe as the name; if Name is left blank and Baureihe is populated, it will show Baureihe; if both are blank, it will show the page name)
• image = Abbildung
• powertype = Gattung
• builder = Hersteller
