Surgeon Muhammad Kabir
Born on the 7th December 1935 in peshawar on a cold afternoon to Nasir Khan ( superintendent Peshawar Jail) and Sardar Begum was their first born.

Fond of friendship, he had the skill of talking to anyone without problems. He would be able to sit and talk with kids, deplomats, working staff, family, professional and non professional friends all at their level.
He was fond of gatherings and events, at least 3 to 5 dinners a week at home or with friends was a norm. His maternal uncle (Muhammad Yaqoob Khan) was just a few years elder to him and they had a relation of both an friend and an uncle.
Keen photographer, developed the photography society while a student of Daw Medical. He use to develop his negatives himself.
He was also interested in hypnosis and use to help his friends and family over come different problems using his skills.
Hobbies and Co-caricular
As a child he was inquisitive and interested in learning about machines and their mechanics. He would unscrew his cycle tyres and reattach them later carefully placing the parts exactly as before. He was also a keep photographer and use to develop the pictures by himself. He was keen on experimenting with photography and made his visiting card at the age of 18. He went on forming the Daw meducal college Photography section while a student there 1954-60
Another of his favorite was to read and practice hypnosis and one could feel that hypnotic power when talking with him.
He was a good sports man and use to participate in various sports activities as a student, he was the champion of badminton of Daw Medical College.
He was a good sprinter and being a part of the khyber medical college he would always first in 100M race between the faculty. Spots. Sprinter badminton
Early life
Education
Early education was at local schools where his father was posted ie DI Khan, Banu, Abbottabad, Haripur and Peshawar. After completing his FSc from Islamic college Peshawar he first got admission into a Dental College and was progressing well and designed his own instruments and techniques. He studied one year a realised that he wanted to do MB BS, hence he transfered his credit to medical in 1955.

A progressive and intelligent Doctor who was very well connected in society. Firm on his decisions wrong or right and dynamic in his thoughts and vision.

Muhammad kabir married Roeeda Yahya ( Roeeda Kabir) on 25th December 1970. They had 2 girls Zaineb Kabir ( Zaineb Noorani) 1972, Sofia Kabir (Sofia Shehzad) 1974 and 2 boys Samir Khan Kabir 1975 and Fahd Khan Kabir 1978.

Innovative surgeon who started concept of minimal invasive procedure by operating though smaller incisions as he became more experienced in the renal and open cholecystectomy through 2.5 inch incision in the province.

Death
After a week of admission and investigations at harley Street clinic hospital in London for heart condition he was given a green signal, no surgery was inndicated and he was fit to travel back home.
A week later on 20th September 2003 Dr. Kabir developed bradycardia (slow heart rate) and dysphonia (shortness of breath) for which the emergency services were called and he was rushed stright to the cath lab for emergency pacemaker. The procedure was uneventful and done within 30 mins of the call.
When he was being taken into the ambulance he was given the news that Gandhara University had been given the charter by government of NWFP. Another milestone achieved which proved to be his last worldly task.
He was moved to the recovery unit where while talking with his family he became breathless and went into cardiac arrest.
He was resuscitated and ventilated but did not recover completely and passed away on the 9th of October 2003 secondary to pneumonia.
