Andy Woerner (born October 4, 1970) is running for for Hawaii’s Democratic Party nomination for the U.S. Senate Election in 2010 that is currently held by Daniel Inouye.
Personal Life
[edit]Andy was born on October 4, 1970 in North Carolina. He is married to Angela Willis Woerner, and in May 2008, they had a son named Grayer Kalani Woerner.
At the age of 13, Andy worked full-time cropping tobacco for a local farm. After graduating from high school, he attended Appalachian State University, where he met his wife Angela. After his fourth year in college, he and his wife transferred to a trade school for SCUBA instructors. Soon after, Andy and his wife began working on cruise ships and continued doing so for the next four years. Jack's Diving Locker, a dive and snorkel facility in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, soon offered Andy and his wife positions as SCUBA instructors. He eventually became the Operations Manager. Andy became involved in politics as a supporter and campaigner for Barack Obama's successful presidential bid in 2008.[1]

[edit]Andy Woerner is running for Hawaii’s Democratic Party nomination for the U.S. Senate Election in 2010. Senator Daniel Inouye has held this seat since Hawaii became a state in 1959. [2]
