Welcome to my user page, a little bit about me, by day I am a college student but by night I am an inspiring writer, I have been working on my fiction book for almost 6 years, unfortunately all my work was on my old laptop which just died now I have to fix it.

I have one crazy 7 year old as well as a very fat cat named bubba, I've lived most of my life in the pacific northwest, I absolutely love our crazy weather it keeps me on my toes, although I did spend some time in Oregon for Job corps training program, that was an amazing experience, in fact it was so amazing in my eyes that I went back again a few years later for a different training program.

I honestly do not know my interests as of yet, I am just learning how to actually use this very useful website. I am eager to find out what all this has to offer.

Article Evaluation I visited the red panda article on Wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: The red panda is endangered, There is two distinct types of Red pandas, and The major threats to red pandas."

 Red pandas are not only adorable but they are also clever, funny little creatures. They are considered a living fossil because in 2004 in at the Grey fossil site Tennessee a tooth from a red panda species was found, it's recorded age of the tooth is about 4.7 to 7 million years old.  
 The red panda's have been on the endangered species list since 2008 because the global population is about 10,000 and it's decreasing at an alarming rate because of the multiple threats this poor species is facing. I believe the facts on this page are somewhat credible however there are some citations needed and it is last dated last year. I would like some new information about the decrease in population. 
 The two distinct species are the Chinese Red panda and the Himalayan Red panda. They both have different colorings the Chinese red panda are larger and darker in color while some of the Chinese red panda and the Himalayan red panda can also be brown or yellowish brown rather than the traditional red color.
 The threats to red pandas are harvesting the animals from the wild either dead or alive, deforestation and poaching. In South West China, red panda's are hunted for their fur, especially their tails, the fur is often giving to a bride on her wedding day, she wears the fur as a symbol of "good luck". They are often sold alive to private collectors as pets. These notions were written in 1999, I am not sure if China are still using those "good luck" charms today. The article is very informative but I did notice a few grammar errors and citations needed to prove the facts.
 In conclusion I believe this is a very interesting piece of information, I believe that if we keep captive breeding with a safe release then they would not longer be endangered. The Chinese red panda is a darker red while the Himalayan red panda has a whiter facial markings, also I know we can not stop people from poaching and selling them as pets even though it's disgraceful, maybe if we put more awareness out about this tragic threats causing these poor helpless animals they might not be endangered anymore. One can only hope.
