My hobbies are all over the place. I am a pretty go with the flow kind of person and enjoy doing most things. I love sports, I have played sports my whole life. Playing sports and exercising is a great way to improve mental health and keep your mind sharp. I love being outside, hiking, camping, swimming, etc... My friends and family are very important to me, I come from a very big family.

Article Evaluation

I chose to evaluate the Deschutes Brewery article because my cousin and father both work for the company. I have spent time time learning about the company and brewery, my family and I have also visited the brewery many times. I wanted to see what Wikipedia had to share. I visited the Deschutes Brewery article on Wikipedia, and found three aspects worth commenting on: The age of the article and citations used, completeness of the article, and bias claims.

While the article was last updated on October 12th, 2021, and the information on the article seems to be fairly recent, the references used were outdated. The most recent reference article was from 2019, other than that the majority were from 2011 and 2013. Other than the references being very outdated, the other sources and links were fairly and within the last 5 years.

The completeness of the article was good and I felt like there was a lot of information given while reading about Deschutes Brewery. The information given was majority about capacity, barrels, and product. While that information is important, personally, I would have liked to learn more about how the brewery was created and some more history.

The Deschutes Brewery article did a very well job of giving strictly information and not being bias. There were no bias claims and I was impressed with how much information and professional the article looked. The article had the right amount of information and provided a lot of information the right way.

After fully evaluating this article, I was impressed. Deschutes Brewery is a small local brewery and I did not expect to find very much information, however, the information given was the perfect amount. The age of the article and citations used, completeness of the article, and bias claims were the three main things that stood out to me and were worth commenting on. While there are some things this article can improve on, there are some really great things as well.
