Recordings
[edit]Aza24: Hi, Aza! Quick question: what would you advise doing when a list of recordings table gets to be sooooo long? I'm already up to 70 recordings of Sibelius's Violin Concerto, and I assume the table will eventually hit the high 80s. Thanks, ~ Silence of Järvenpää 16:54, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
- You'd probably have to split it into a separate article, of which there is much precedent (Category:Discographies of classical compositions). Then either the main article could have a select like of ~20 recordings (maybe less) or a prose summary of the recording history. Either way, this would probably be informed (either the choice of recordings or the prose's content) by some sources that discuss important/famous recordings like 1001 Classical Recordings You Must Hear Before You Die.
