Dr Deepak Gowda completed his medicine from Vijaynagar institute of medical sciences, Bellary from 2004-2009. He then underwent cardiac surgery training from one of the prestigious institutes in the country, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences, Prasanthigram, India where he was trained in both adult and pediatric cardiac surgeries. After his graduation in 2015, he joined as a junior consultant in the same institute. During this period he got to improve his surgical skills in the field of both adult and pediatric heart surgeries. He has done around 450 open heart surgeries independently and assisted around 2600 open heart surgeries till date. He was fortunate enough to get trained by world renowned cardiac surgeons like Dr Valluvan Jeevanandam (Renowned transplant surgeon from university of Chicago), Dr Mohan Sarabu (Cardiothoracic surgeon, New York), Dr Krishna S Iyer (Executive director, Pediatric and congenital cardiac surgery, Fortis Escorts heart institute, New Delhi) and many more. He is now working as a consultant cardiac surgeon at Star pinnacle heart Centre, Visakhapatnam, India from 2019.

Throughout my medical career, I’ve had the opportunity to research and report on a broad range of topics and fields. I’ve written many articles on different topics concerning cardiac surgery. He has also published the largest series of aortopulmonary window cases in the world. His acclaimed works have been published and are well-respected by medical professionals all over the world.
