[edit]After the German spelling reform of 1996, the officially correct name is "Das Schloss Neuschwanstein". However, and especially as the reform as of today is not completely accepted, some people continue to use the pre-reform spelling "Das Schloß Neuschwanstein". Some also argue that the old spelling, being a proper name, should not be subject to spelling reforms at all.
