Malaria therapy is the pyrotherapeutic treatment for neurosyphillis, where patients were intentionally infected with malaria as a means inducing a fever and treating their primary condition. Also known as malariotherapy, the practice was first described by Austrian physician Julius Wagner-Jauregg, who later won the Nobel Prize in Medicine for his work
