The Contemplative Higher Education Alliance for Research, Teaching, and Service (C-HEARTS) is an organization supporting the growth of contemplative education practices by providing opportunities for faculty, staff, and students to engage in cross-institutional events and activities in the Mid-Atlantic (United States). The organization's activities include, but are not limited to, conferences, a digital archive of documents and resources related to contemplative education, retreats or other programs for members, and supporting research related to contemplative education.[1]
Conferences and Events
[edit]Recent speakers at conferences have included singer-songwriter Carrie Newcomer, mindfulness teacher Mitchell Ratner, Still Water Mindfulness Practice Center, Dr. Magaret Plews-Ogan, University of Virginia School of Medicine, mindfulness teacher Booker,[1] Dr. Michael Yellow Bird, North Dakota State University, Dr. Judith Simmer-Brown, Naropa University, and Dr. Joanne Braxton, William & Mary.[2]
