Long bone is supply by....
a.Nutrient artery
It`s usually a branch of larger artery which runs adjacent along bone.It enters through nutrient foramen and divides into proximal and distal branches.It supplies spongy bone and inner part of compact bone up to metaphyseal region.
b.Branches of Periosteal artery
It enters the shaft at numerous points.Small branches run in Harversian canal and supply outer part of compact bone.
c.Epiphyseal and metaphyseal arteries
It supplies epiphysis,metaphysis and joint capsule.
