Gungho Camacho (Michael Midgett) is an American rapper born on October 10, 1983 in Norfolk, Virginia. He began rap journey in 1999 when he started freestyle battling other kids around his neighborhood. His style consists of conscious lyrical content infused with a 1990's era attitude.
He chose to use the stage name Gungho because it best describes his energetic rhyme patterns and lively stage presence. In early 2018, Gungho joined the Virginia based Hip Hop group, Seven Cities Syndicate, as both an emcee and audio engineer. Since becoming a S.C.S. member, he has performed live at several venues, including the NorVa, as both a solo act and part of the group. As an independent artist, Gungho released his debut solo album Maniac (2019), which touched on different types of mental health issues, including anxiety, which he has struggled with for over 15 years. His sophomore album, Full Of Myself, features verses from Nature (The Firm), Keith Murray, Canibus, and Bizarre (D12). Gungho Camacho also has song collaborations with Bubba Sparxxx, Ras Kass, and Mickey Factz.
