Michael Shoemaker (Author) (born September 19, 1991) is an American author of Fiction, and Poetry. He was born in Norfolk, Virgina where he had spent the majority of his childhood until moving to Kansas in 2000. He began writing seriously in 2009 and won 3rd Place in the Blue Valley Optimist Poetry Contest in the same year for his first major poem "The Storm". Shoemaker attended Kansas State University to pursue a degree in sociology. [1]

Charity
[edit]In April of 2011, Shoemaker spent time raising money for the Invisible Children Organization. During that month he donated his royalties to the charity in effort to raise money for the 25 event. [4]
