People are born cossacks of Universe
To fight for freedom they need no horse
They are free people by the will of God
And this ancient wisdom they never forgot
They always enjoyed to live in peace
But love for freedom nobody cannot seize
My name is Serge and i'm citizen of Ukraine, one of the states in the historical Eastern Europe and Western Scythia-Tartaria-Russia, states of modern global cossack society that is society of cossacks, free people of the Earth. Also i am the descendant of people of Rzecz Pospolita, Russian Empire and United Soviet States of Eurasia (USSR), The State of Red Horde, The State of Red Cossackdom. During 1917-1947 yy. many of my relatives defended freedom and communal democracy (which in their worldview they called among other patriotism, socialism, communism, nationalism or ideas of red cossackdom, free Ukraine and saint Rus etc. etc.) how they see and understood them, under different banners, mostly red, helping people of our region (lands of USSR) to survive and revive as cossacks, i.e. free people by the will of God and not of some or other lord.
Cossacks in my worldview
[edit]The main meaning of word "cossack" with which it became widely known all over the world and was incorporated in many languages is "free man by the will of God, man of free trade and free warrior". Cossack can choose religious teachings to believe, languages to speak, trade to be involved in, cloth to wear, music to listen, way of life to go and so on by his own choice. All people are cossacks but not all know about this.
In central Eurasia, in Ukraine and Russia from ancient times people know and tell each other in the form of tales and stories ancient teaching about cossacks (kazaks, kozaks, kazakhs) - free people, which get their freedom from God. According to this teaching all people are free (have the freedom of thought and choice and can use them for their own) by the will of God, all are cossacks and trace their origin from cossacks, all people can name themselfes in such way but not all know about this.
Some people, especially from Europe, who have a little information about cossack history and worldview think that all ancient cossacks were warriors. But such opinion is only partly right. In XIII-XVII people all over the world used to have weapons and amunition in their homes to protect their family and themselves. Cossacks, free people of Eurasian Steppes made no exception from this rule. But most of them, most of members of that day cossack societies were peaceful and religious people, who lived with their families and were involved in different trades (agriculture, cattle breading, craft, merchantry and so on). Only very little part of the members of their communities served in different cossack armies and detachments with functions just like army or police in present-day societies). But when it was needed - all men and sometimes also women took weapons to protect life and freedom of their families and all cossack people. Later, in XVI-XVIII сс, in Rzeczpospolita, Russian, Chineese and other feudal states and empires most part of descendants of ancient cossacks of steppes of central Eurasia (modern day Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan and so on) were made serfes and slaves and less part became the soldiers of regular imperial army. During the Russian Revolution fo 1917-23 yy the descendants of ancient cossacks of central Eurasia fought for freedom and for soviet or democratic society. After this was long period of disorder and totalitarism, industrialisation and world war in Central Eurasia. But step by step modern day people of this region revive the free society of their ancient forefathers, their interesting history and worldview, in which ancient teaching about cossacks occupies an important place, people today begin to understand that this teaching is important part of cultural heritage not only of this region but of all humanity.
