Lloyd is a fictional character from Stanley Kubrick's 1980 film The Shining, based on the Stephen King novel of the same name. Lloyd is a ghost at The Overlook Hotel who appears as a bartender to current caretaker, Jack Torrance. He is portrayed by Joe Turkel in the film and by John Robert Lindsey in the the 2016 operatic adaptation. Lloyd is portrayed differently in Doctor Sleep as a version of the character who appears to Danny Torrance in the guise of his father, Jack. This version is portrayed by Henry Thomas.
