From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This template is to be used to inform an editor of Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines, as well as informing them that their article has been moved to the draftspace for AfC submission.

{{subst:coimove|Page name|Location of draft, if different to Page name; optional|Only used when the user is aware of COI guidelines; optional}}

Signatures are automatically added, and this template should be substituted. It has three parameters:

  1. The title of the page (mandatory)
  2. The name of page following the move (optional; only used if it is different to the first parameter, such as when there is already a draft of that name)
  3. An optional parameter to be filled when the editor is already aware of the COI guidelines, and all that's needed is telling them where the page has been moved. Intended to be used where the user is repeatedly creating their page in the mainspace. Can be filled with anything you fancy, though a single character would be the most efficient.

There is no need to add namespace prefixes like Draft:; that is automatically added. Parameter one is used as the heading.

For example, {{subst:coimove|IU (singer)|Tweety}} gives:

IU (singer)

Information icon Hello, Sdrqaz/coimove. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page IU (singer), you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.

Please note that in accordance to our conflict of interest editing guidelines, I have moved your article to Draft:Tweety, as editors with a conflict of interest should not create articles straight onto the mainspace. When you are ready to submit the page for review by our Articles for Creation reviewers, please do so by adding {{subst:submit}} to the top of the draft. Thank you. ~~~~

While {{subst:coimove|Jisoo||Turtle Rabbit}} gives:

Page move of Jisoo

Given that you were already made aware of our conflict of interest editing guidelines, you should know that editors with a conflict of interest should not create articles straight onto the mainspace. Please stop creating that page in the mainspace; I have moved it to Draft:Jisoo. When you are ready to submit the page for review by our Articles for Creation reviewers, please do so by adding {{subst:submit}} to the top of the draft. Thank you. ~~~~

As before, the second parameter can be used where the page has been moved to a draftspace page of a different name (this scenario may be more likely, as the editor is already aware of the COI guidelines and has persisted in creating their page and so there'll probably be duplicates). {{subst:coimove|Dahyun|Tofu|Y}} gives:

Page move of Dahyun

Given that you were already made aware of our conflict of interest editing guidelines, you should know that editors with a conflict of interest should not create articles straight onto the mainspace. Please stop creating that page in the mainspace; I have moved it to Draft:Tofu. When you are ready to submit the page for review by our Articles for Creation reviewers, please do so by adding {{subst:submit}} to the top of the draft. Thank you. ~~~~
