The United States Coast Guard Maritime Law Enforcement Academy (MLE) in Charleston, South Carolina is a federal law enforcement academy run by the United States Coast Guard Reserve and training. It was established on 1 November 2004. It is the ninth federal law enforcement academy in the United States accredited by FLETA on November 15, 2007.[1][2]
MLE is currently lead by CDR Mark Wilbert.
Activities

- Boarding Officer Course (BOC) with a duration of six weeks and Boarding Officer Qualification Support Program (BOQSP)
- Radiation Detection Level II Operators Course
- Marine Patrol Officer Course (Instructor and Tactical)
- Boarding Team Member Course
Other training institutions of the USCG include USCG Training Center Cape May, Special Missions Training Center, Chief Petty Officer Academy and USCG Academy (Officer Candidate School).
