Smith Mountain(San Gabriel Mountains)
Smith Mountain is a lower summit in the San Gabriel Mountains of Southern California. The peak rises to an elevation of 5,111 feet(1558 meters) above sea level. It stands to the west of San Gabriel Canyon. The easiest route to the mountain is via the Upper Bear Creek Trail. The hike is 7 miles round trip with approximately 1800 feet of elevation gain. The trail starts from the trailhead in San Gabriel Canyon and winds its way gradually up to Smith Saddle. From there, it's a half mile scramble that gains the remaining 820 feet.
