I'm German-American
I've worked in research in the Siberian Arctic (particularly Norilsk and Igarka) for the last several years as a geographer, and my academic interests are mostly related to the history, geography, and development of Russia
I have degrees in German (B.A.), history (B.A.), and geography (M.A.)
Other interests include skepticism, public understanding of science, and medical research
