PageCuration is a user script that adds a "Page Curation" link to toolbar at the top of Wikipedia pages. The link points to Special:NewPagesFeed, through which the Page Curation functionality can be accessed. Page Curation is a feature-rich purpose-built system that provides combined access to the two main tools, namely Special:NewPagesFeed and Curation Toolbar. It is primarily designed to assist new page reviewers.

This script is a fork of User:Lourdes/PageCuration.js. I am committed to maintaining and fixing any issues with the script, and take full responsibility for the code used.

Installation

The easiest way to install this script is to use User:Enterprisey/script-installer and click the button in the infobox. Alternatively, you can copy the following into your common.js page.

importScript('User:Schminnte/PageCuration.js'); // Linkback: [[User:Schminnte/PageCuration.js]]

Note: You will need to manually bypass your cache after installation. Visit Wikipedia:Bypass your cache to see how to do this.

Usage

The script is primarily designed for use by new page reviewers. While any registered user can install and use the script, only new page reviewers get access to the Curation Toolbar.

Troubleshooting

Common issues
  • My Page Curation script works, but the small review/curation toolbar does not appear on the right side of the screen when I open any new article to review.
Solution:
  1. Check if you have the new page reviewer right; (not to be confused with Wikipedia:Reviewing pending changes)
  2. Check Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-gadgets; see the option Disable the page curation toolbar right at the bottom of that page – if that is checked, uncheck it.
  3. Use the Page Curation script and open any new unreviewed article.
    • Go to the left sidebar menu (it should be on the left side of your screen).
    • Go to the section on the left sidebar menu titled Tools.
    • Click on the link titled Curate this article (it should be at the bottom of the Tools section).
    • The review/curation toolbar should appear on the right side of the screen.
  • I've installed the Page Curation script in my vector.js page, but the script doesn't work/no top menu link appears titled "Page Curation".
Solution:
  1. Remove the script from your vector.js page.
  2. Reinstall the script in your common.js page.
  3. The Page Curation link should now appear on the top toolbar.
  • The Page Curation icon stopped showing at the top of my page since I changed over to the new Vector 2022 skin.
Solution:
  1. Click on the drop down arrow on your user profile icon (in the Vector 2022 skin, the user profile icon is usually situated at the top right corner of your desktop screen).
  2. The Page Curation link may be found in this drop down menu.
