I am a Digital Communications Coordinator for Optica, joining the organization in July 2021. In good faith, I have no intention to alter articles in any way that will detract from neutrality or overwrite significant edits from other organizations. My duties include edits to our related Wikipedia pages, including updating instances of the name "Optical Society" and "OSA" to "Optica" to reflect the organization's recent name change. This includes periodically changing the membership numbers on our page at the end of each year. I am also responsible for organizing the creation of Wikipedia pages of notable optical scientists who are members of Optica, but also similar organizations such as SPIE, the American Physical Society, and IEEE Photonics Society. This user, in accordance with the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use, discloses that they have been paid by Optica for their contributions to Wikipedia.
