Article Critique
[edit]The article provides information that is relevant to Borrelia burgdorferi. The references include online scholarly databases including Caister Academic Press, Science, Clinical Microbiology Reviews and more. The history of Borrelia burgdorferi is lacking in the article--it only mentions the name of Willy Burgdorfer who first isolated the bacteria. No explanation of how he came to do so is offered. There is also a section that requires that more information regarding the pathogenesis of Lyme disease with proper referencing. Each of the references used in the article is relatively up to date--the earliest being published in 2000. Most are from within the last ten years.
