Potentilla hebiichigo is a perennial flowering plant in the family Rosaceae [1]. Like its sister species Potentilla indica[2], it has trifoliate leaves and an aggregate accessory fruit, similar to a true strawberry. Like many species in the genus Potentilla[3], it has yellow flowers, in contrast to the white to pinkish flowers of true strawberries in the genus Fragaria. Its native range is southeastern Asia, extending as far north as Japan[4]. It was previously known as Duchesnea chrysantha.
