Santulan Mahanta hails from Jorhat town in the state of Assam in India. He is a Post Graduate in English from Lucknow Campus of the English and Foreign Languages University. Being an ardent railway enthusiast and traveler, he takes special interest in the railway history in the Indian subcontinent. He has prolific knowledge on the Assamese language and is a small time literary practitioner.
