Early life
[edit]Santosh mahapatra is the son of Trilochan Mahapatra, a middle class family. Santosh mahapatra completed his BCOM degree from Berhampur University in the academic year 2014-2015, and went to first Bharatiya Janata Party there he worked as a town president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha and later he worked as District general secretary of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha.
In 9th of march 2024 santosh mahapatra joined Aam Aadmi Party and there he took the charge of koraput district, Odisha. In his leadership first time Aam Aadmi Party entered in koraput district politics and declared 2 candidates out of 5 constituency.
Up to 2024, Mahapatra has 4 criminal cases to his record, with two still pending and others being dismissed or acquired, partially due to witnesses who later backed out.
