My name is Sam Miller I am a student athlete and computer engineering student at EVCC. I have a great love for the outdoors and enjoy Snowboarding, Hiking and Trail Running. The actual purpose for the creation of this bio page was for an English 101 class at EVCC. I have a great love for American History which I have been very passionate about since I was very young. I also enjoy the occasional good book. By the time I was five years old I had read novels such as Moby Dick and War and Peace.

Article Critique
[edit]I visited the Everett Community College page on wikipedia and found three aspects of it worth commenting on were the fact that most of the information was out of date, Some of it hasn’t been updated since 2005, another thing was that it doesn’t mention anything about the athletics other than that we have them, lastly it takes no time to mention some of the wonderful services like the tutoring center that we have on campus.
Sports
[edit]Now when talking about the sports it doesn't go into any detail on any of the titles and the impressive reputation that several of the sports programs represent. For example the Cross Country team has over 7 NWAC titles, more than any of the other sports combined. It also goes into almost no detail of who the coaches are for most of the programs, it only briefly mentions the football coachs' name and nickname. Also no mention is put in about how talented the girls volleyball team or how they are almost always a qualifier in the district championships.
Citations
[edit]There is a need for a source change in the history bio sentence as the only source that is used links you straight back the the colleges webpage which could be a biased and invalid source. Also there are several links that don't lead where they say they do and those need to be fixed to make this a better site. Biggest one though is really that one in the history section that links back to the colleges own page.
Age
[edit]Some of the information on this page is unfortunately out of date. For example when it says how many students attend EVCC it only gives information from 2011-2012 which says that the college has 19666 students. This information is clearly out of date as the number of students could have risen significantly since this time. It could also be strengthened significantly if more information was given on who founded the school and how it ended up becoming a college in the first place.
[edit]Summary
[edit]Overall I would rate this page as okay, it doesn't do a good enough job at explaining what the college is, whats its about and any of the resources that it has available for someone who is researching it or a potential student to even think this is a reliable source.
