[edit]″The Voice of Human Justice" [ISBN : 978-964-438-158-4] is an English translation of "Sautu'l 'Adālati'l Insaniyah (صوت العدالة الإنسانية) written in Arabic by George Jordac, a renowned Christian author of Lebanon. The book which focuses on biography of Imam Ali. The first edition of the Arabic version was published in 1956 and it has gained much popularity in the Arab and Muslim world. Since then, the book has been translated in various languages like English, Spanish, French and several other languages. The book was translated to Persian by Seyyed Hadi Khosroshahi in 1961.[1] .
The book
[edit]The book "The Voice of Human Justice" contains 39-chapters with 508-pages. The focus of the book is to expose the multi-dimensional distinguished personality of Ali bn Abi Talib. The book depicted various views and beliefs of Imam Ali regarding religion, politics,Economics,rights and many more. Infact, the book analyse the matchless characters of Ali in the matter of faith,piety,purity,eloquence,magnanimity,help for the deprived and oppressed people.
Purpose of the book
[edit]The history of great men is a source of exposure and aspiration for us and reading through their history serves as a torch light that keep darkness away from us. the purpose of the book is to expose one of the great men of the history of human being Ali bn Abi Talib. This exceptional individual was born in Arabia but his personality is not meant for Arabia only. His fountain of knowledge and favour sprang from Islam but he is not confined to the Muslims. The book itself is a motivator to a peak of success.
Author
[edit]The Voice of Human Justice was authored by George Jordac, a prominent literary and cultural figure who spent over four decades of his life studying about Imam Ali. [2] . After he graduated from the university, he taught Arabic literature and Arabic philosophy in some schools and universities in Beirut.[3]. He began his writing career in 1950 as a journalist for the newspapers Al-Anwar, Al-Kifah Al-Arabi, Al-Qabas and several others.[4]. ِDespite the fact that George was a christian, he has keen interest in knowing more about Imam Ali which consequently led him to Nahj al-balagha. He later learned Nahj al-balagha from his brother Fuad Jordac (an engineer,philologist and poet). At 13-years of age,he had memorized a large part of Nahj al-balagha.[5]. In 1997,through the invitation of some Iranian authorities, he travelled down to Iran and paid visitation to some personalities and cultural figures. He later came again in 2000 for Sa'di conference in Shiraz.[6]
