Yashaswini Singh Deswal was born in 30 March 1997 in New Delhi. She started shooting at the age of 15 when she went with her father to watch the shooting sports, her father is a police officer and main wile her supporter in sport. For more encouragement, her parent erects a shooting range at their home in Panchkula, Chandigarh for her practice. She performed very well in the national and international champions. She started practicing shooting in 2012 and make herself qualified for Youth Olympic. She is an Indian sport shooter woman. She shoots 10 meters Air Pistol Deswal has achieved a lot of medals in different completions.
Professional Achievements 1: She has won 3 Gold medals in different categories in the 58th national Shooting Championship which is held in December 2014 at Pune. 2: she has won a silver medals in Suhl, Germany, at the 2016 ISSF Junior World cup. 3: she won gold medal in team competitions and bronze medal in individual competition at the 2016 South Asia Games at Qabala, Azerbaijan. 4: she equaled the world record at The ISSF Junior World Championship which held in June 2017 in Suhl, Germany, won a gold medal. 5: in 2019, Deswal won the gold medal at the 2019 IFFS world cup in Rio de Janeiro to book a quota spot for the 2021 summer Olympics. 6: Deswal won gold medal at the fifth edition of the international online shooting champion in October 2020. In 2019 Deswal – who trains under coach Tejinder Singh Dhillon – won the gold medal at the 2019 ISSF World Cup in Rio de Janeiro, securing her spot at the Tokyo Summer Olympics. Deswal defeated former Olympic and world champion Olena Kostevych in the final round to take the gold, and also bagged a silver medal in the mixed team event. After shooting with supreme confidence and precision at the ISSF World Cup, Deswal has now made her mark at senior level and will be ready to take on the best in the world in Tokyo.
