Step 1: Check there isn't a reason

If your report is about one of the following, then there is a reason for the "error", explained in "reason". Please do not report errors for any of these if the reason applies.

Error: It replaced an incorrect speedy deletion template

Reason: SDPatrolBot only replaces tags when they are removed by the page creator. Per policy, users should not remove a speedy deletion template from a page they created even if the CSD doesn't apply to the page, so the speedy deletion template doesn't have to be correct to be replaced. However, if it is incorrect, then the administrator who reviews the page should not delete it. If you'd like to let the administrator know the template is incorrect, then go the the nominated page, and add this text to it: {{hangon|reason=replace this text with the reason why the page does not meet policy}}

Error: It didn't replace a speedy deletion template

Reason: Check none of the following reasons apply (click "show" to show the reasons):

Reasons for not replacing a speedy deletion template

1. It won't replace author request (G7 & U1) tags
2. It can't read all the speedy deletion criteria (please ask if you want a criterion or template added to the bot, or are wondering if it knows about one)
3. It doesn't edit pages in the file namespace
4. It won't re-add a speedy deletion template placed in a namespace where it doesn't apply (e.g. a {{db-u2}} tag in the namespace of template)
5. It won't replace A7, A1 or A3 speedies if the article has become substantially bigger since it was nominated
6. The page may have had its deletion tag removed before the bot had a chance to register it (allow up to five seconds to register, depending on how many pages are nominated for speedy deletion at the time (the more pages, the slower it is))
7. It may not have been running at the time (please check SDPatrolBot's edits before and after the incident, to see if it looks like SDPatrolBot was online during the time of the incident)

If none of the above apply, then please skip to step 2.

Error: It warned me about a PROD being removed from a page which I didn't proposed for deletion

Reason: Has the page been moved from a page which you did PROD? If not, skip to step 2.

Error: It didn't warn me about a PROD being removed from a page which I proposed for deletion

Reason: Check none of the following reasons apply (click "show" to show the reasons):

Reasons for not warning users of removed proposed deletion

1. It will only notify users of removed PRODs if it thinks the user doesn't already know
2. It will only notify users of removed PRODs if the page hasn't become a redirect
3. The page may have had its deletion tag removed before the bot had a chance to register it (allow up to a minute to register, depending on how many pages are nominated for speedy deletion at the time (the more pages, the slower it is))
4. It may not have been running at the time (please check SDPatrolBot's edits before and after the incident, to see if it looks like SDPatrolBot was online during the time of the incident)
5. It may not have had time to. SDPatrolBot notifies users of removed PRODs about once a day, so allow at least one day

If none of the above apply, then please skip to step 2.

Step 2: Has this already been reported?

Search through this page to see if this has already been reported. Feel free to add your comments to current reports, but try to avoid reporting the same error twice.

Step 3: Report the error

Once you have gone through step 1 and 2, it's time to report the error. When reporting, please provide a diff to at least one instance of the error occurring. Make sure you explain in detail what the problem is. And then add your report by clicking here, make sure you give an informative title.
