User:S.A. Julio/Notable professional footballers in Germany
Note: Footballers without professional appearances are generally not considered notable on Wikipedia. Articles created on these footballers may be deleted.
Any footballers that are listed under "with professional appearances" or "footballers to be created" are relevant to Wikipedia, but have yet to be created. Footballers listed under "without professional appearance" do not meet the criteria, listed at WP:NFOOTBALL, for inclusion on Wikipedia, unless WP:GNG can be met.
Criteria for creation of footballers in Germany:
- Appearance in the Bundesliga, 2. Bundesliga, or 3. Liga (defined by WP:FPL as fully professional leagues).
- Appearance in the Bundesliga/2. Bundesliga play-offs or 2. Bundesliga/3. Liga play-offs.
- Appearance in the DFB-Pokal or DFL-Supercup against another team in a fully professional league.
- Appearance in the Verbandspokal[1] against another team from the 3. Liga.
- Appearance in the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Super Cup, or FIFA Club World Cup against another team in a fully professional league.
- Appearance in a senior, Tier 1 International Match, as defined by FIFA,[2] in a competitive senior international match at confederation level regardless of whether or not the teams are members of FIFA, or at the Olympic Games.
Managers are considered notable if they have managed in a match which passes the above footballer criteria.
Squad templates of clubs in the Regionalliga and lower can possibly be deleted if they are found to not be useful for navigation. Current consensus states that 5–7 blue links (includes footballers and the manager) is the threshold for club squad templates, with any number below that being too few for a template. The most current list of German club squad templates can be found at Category:Germany football club squad navigational boxes.
