Hi, I'm ryoushi19. This is my user page. It should help explain what I do on wikipedia, and a little about who I am.

Interests

I am a user interested mostly in graphic design, wanting to improve the quality of images on wikipedia, as well as provide a few of my own. The images I create are often made with Vectors, though sometimes I feel it necessary that something be created in Raster. I also may make factual corrections on the site from time to time. I also have an interest in computing, as you can probably guess by my urge to distinguish vector from raster.

First Edit

Though I had edited anonymously many times before, my first edit under a user name was actually to call out an editor of the page for That's Not Fake, a page for a show which, ironically, was in many ways "fake". The editor I called out was clearly a plant, seeing as the only page on wikipedia he ever edited was for the show, and he always edited it to try to make it sound more legitimate. The way he had written his information seemed to be written more like a marketing pitch than a source of information, too, which only made my suspicions grow. So, I created this account to edit his user page and mention his practices, since user pages can only be edited by editors with accounts. This was admittedly not the best way to approach the situation, as one of the moderators, Toddst1, accused me of a personal attack. He also accused me of sockpuppeting, because to him it seemed that a new user wouldn't know enough about wikipedia to recognise such a thing. I explained the situation to the moderator, who seems to have taken a much better approach than I, seeing as the editor I mentioned has not edited pages again. I learned from this experience that rather than going vigilante and calling users out personally on wikipedia, it is better to report your suspicions to a moderator, who will usually do all they can to improve the quality of wikipedia.
