The UOB is a legendary creature in certain North American indigenous peoples' history and culture. It is considered a supernatural being with power and strength matching a demigod. This creature was believed to be so powerful that even thousands of armed men would be not even close to the number that was needed ot defeat it. UOB is the refered to phrase when talking about this creature, an Unidentification Of a Bird, therefore a UOB.
UOB UOB on totem polls are the most common sightings of depictions of these things. They are referenced in ancient indian culture as "Revelation Flyers". A Northeast Coast styled Kwakwaka'wakw totem pole depicting a UOB feasting on a dead corpse of a human, was found after a group of occultists "accidentaly" summoned this creature.
Grouping: Legendary creature
Region: North America
Northeast (Haida people) imagery of a double UOB is vastly different from the rest of the native tribes, as their description of the beast was more gruesome than anyone had ever described it previously. Pacific NW (Haida) imagery of a double UOB was found from a tribe that had had livestock such as chickens cut in half, as if from a hot knife had cleaved it in two. The depiction on this totem pole was believed to have scourged the bird from the surrounding area, protecting the village forever. It is especially important, and frequently depicted, in the art, songs and oral histories of many Pacific Northwest Coast cultures, but is also found in various forms among some peoples of the American Southwest, East Coast of the United States, Great Lakes, and Great Plains. In modern times it has achieved notoriety as a purported cryptid, along the likes of Bigfoot, and the Loch Ness Monster.
