Shehu Tijjani Abdullahi is a Nigerian technologist and businessman. He is the founder of Amal Technology Limited,and also founder RFID and Security Solutions Ltd.


Early life and education

Shehu Tijjani Abdullahi is a Nigerian technologist, innovator, and businessman.[1]

He studied software engineering and electronics.

He is the founder and CEO of Amal Technologies Limited, which is a hardware developer and manufacturer of consumer electronics.[2]

Shehu Tijjani was born on June 1987, in Kwara State. Shehu Tijjani attended his primary school and secondary school in Ilorin before moving to Lagos State to further his education.

He attended Aptech in Lagos, an institute for learning coding and IT, and graduated with an advanced diploma in Software Engineering. Shehu Tijjani has a first-class degree in Information Technology and Bussiness Information System from Middlesex University and graduated in 2013.[3]


Shehu Tijjani was born into a Muslim Hausa family in kwara state. He attended his primary education in Illorin kwara state, and madrasa in kaduna where he memorized the Quran at the age of 13 before going to secondary school. He attended Aptech in Lagos, an institute for learning coding and IT and graduated with Advanced Diploma in Software Engineering. Shehu Tijjani Holds a First Class Degree in Information Technology and Business Information Systems from Middlesex University where he graduated in 2013.[4] Over the years Shehu Tijjani has completed different independent courses and received certificates of training and education in software engineering,  hardware development and electronics from different institutions  in Cairo Egypt as well as Nigeria in places such as Bayero University.

Business Career

Shehu Tijjani established Amal Technologies Nigeria limited, an indigenous hardware manufacturer and company founded under the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board's (NCDMB)’s R&D incubation process, in 2018. Amal Technologies is revolutionizing research and development in the area of semiconductor as the production of hardware and embedded systems.  In 2021, Amal Technologies Ltd. signed a partnership with NCDMB to set up a multimillion-dollar state-of-the-art factory in Idu industrial area Abuja, which is the first fully commercial printed circuit board (PCB) /Assembly (SMT) manufacturing plant in the entire Sub-Saharan Africa. The Amal tech plant is also locally producing a device called “Amal IoT Gas Detector” a smart gas/smoke detector alarm. It is an advanced innovative solution to that monitors smoke and gas leakages and triggers an alarm as well as alert the end user via text message or phone call depending on the intensity of the leakage or smoke.

Additionally Amal technologies is working to bridge the metering gap in Nigeria by producing smart meters.[5]

Shehu Tijjani is also working on developing a device that will revolutionize digital transactions in Nigeria by easing electronic money transfers and payments using POS.

In 2016 Shehu Tijjani founded  RFID & security solutions, an indigenous company in Nigeria that provides security solutions, such as personnel, vehicle, documents and weapons tracking etc. RFID has provided various security consultancy around Nigeria and has provided home, vehicle and personnel security solutions to different individuals, governments and companies in different parts of Nigeria. In 2018 Shehu Tijjani participated in the Nigerian army research and innovation summit as the CEO of RFID& Security solutions.
