Nicolas Duvauchelle is a French actor, born on the twenty-seventh of March 1980 in Paris.
Biography

[edit]In 1998, in his Thai boxing club in Paris, Nicolas Duvauchelle was discovered for the first time by a casting director. He got his first role in the movie Le Petit Voleur of Érick Zonca, in which he had the main role. Then he took part in the films Beau Travail and Trouble Every Day (2001) the same year, that were both directed by the director Claire Denis. He starred meanwhile in Ligne 208 and Du poil sous les roses. At the same time, he experienced for the first time the théâtre by playing in American Buffalo and he played in the series Un homme en colère with Richard Bohringer.
He then went on with Poids léger of Jean-Pierre Améris, and À tout de suite of Benoît Jacquot.
He starred in two Xavier Giannoli's films: Les Corps impatients (2003) with Laura Smet and Marie Denarnaud, then Une aventure (2005) with Ludivine Sagnier who, on this occasion, became his wife.
In 2006, he played Andrea in the film adaptation Hell the Lolita Pille's eponymous novel, directed by Bruno Chiche with Sara Forestier. In the same year, the actor also acted in two films of completely different genres: Avril of Gérald Hustache-Mathieu, and Le Grand Meaulnes of Jean-Daniel Verhaeghe.
In 2009, after playing one of the main roles in La Fille du RER of André Téchiné, he made a detour into television, and played the police lieutenant Théo Wachevski in the Olivier Marchal's series Braquo, in company with Jean-Hugues Anglade, Karole Rocher and Joseph Malerba.
In 2011, he played in Les Yeux de sa mère, La Fille du puisatier, as well as Polisse of Maïwenn, that made him nominated for the César Award for Best Supporting Actor.
He models for Hugo Boss, Louis Vuitton and Miu-Miu. you can also see him in a commercial for the brand Levi's.
He sang in the Parisian hardcore metal band Cry Havoc[1].
He sang and made an appearance in the video clip My Lovely Diehard[2]. In 2015, he also took part in the composition of the album Michael D'Amour - Ailuropoda Melanoleuca, with David R and Michael D'Amour (Les Skalopes, Candy Rainbow).
In 2018, he was the main character in the video clip for the song “Naive” by French doom sludge band Hangman’s Chair.
In 2020, he made an appearance in the Camelia Jordana’s video clip “Silence” in which he played the role of the singer’s husband who became aware of feminism.
Private life
[edit]In 2005, Nicolas Duvauchelle, separated from the actress Ludivine Sagnier since 2007 with whom he had a relationship, had a daughter named Bonnie. At the beginning of 2012, he was a father again of a new baby named Romy with Laura Isaaz from whom he has since been separated.
He is very good friends with Karole Rocher whom he met on the shooting of the tv-show Braquo (2009). They also co-starred in the movie Polisse (2011).
He was in a relationship with Anouchka Alsif, a young model. On 31 August 2017, she gave birth to the actor’s third child who is named Andrea. They separated in 2018.
