Article Evaluation
[edit]The article our group will be editing is Employee Scheduling Software. However, there is currently no information about this topic and the article will need to be built by Mac Channel 25. The article will feature various aspects of the software, including its purpose, function, user ability, and administrative advantages and disadvantages to the software. Since there is nothing to evaluate this entry is short. Further research on the topic needs to be explored by our group. We need to outline the structure of the article and layout the order of the specific topics to be discussed.
This article needs to be built from the ground up. I am not sure what happened to the original data, or if there even was anything about Employee Scheduling Software. So, from here we will need to define what employee scheduling software is in terms that is easy to understand and on a reading level of an eighth grader. Defining the term should consist of what the term means as it relates to employees in the work place.
Next some basic history of the development of the software, which could include possibly, who created the concept, why was it developed, when was it first put into use, and how it has changed employee scheduling. Also, what did the developers hope to gain from the software.
For the next phase of the article I would like to compare data from the old system to the new system and see if the new employee scheduling software has improved employee scheduling or has it created something unforeseen. Hopefully the data is out there and waiting to be compiled on this topic.
Furthermore, I would like to see how many variations of the application are out there being used, and who is using them. I believe that who is using employee scheduling software will speak to the continued existence of the application. I would like to know if it is a fad, or is this a useful tool to administrators.
Moreover, our group has discovered that there is two different articles on this topic: Employee Scheduling Software and Employee scheduling software, this is an issue will need to work out in the future so that there is only one wiki page for this topic.
