My user name -- RoyGoldsmith -- has nothing to do with my quality, or lack thereof, as a editor (or anything else). My first name is Roy and Goldsmith is a re-working of some of my logins; it has no meaning beyond that.
Who am I?
[edit]I've been active in wiki-editing from March 2009 (that's 15 years, 7 months and 21 days). Beside correcting grammar and other, minor matters, I usually choose one significant article at a time: the Fiscal cliff, the Shooting of Michael Brown, ʻOumuamua and the Cradle of Humankind are some of the articles I've been working on.
In real life, I live in the New Jersey suburbs of New York City. I was a computer programmer specializing a niche called the Pick system or IBM U2. I'm now retired, 71 years years old, male and a definite and premeditated nerd. I think the Wikipedia concept is the greatest thing I've ever heard of since sliced bread.
