No reply, I see. Those who believe in and enforce the hard line policy in favor of the philosophy of shrinking objects (special relativity's "length contraction") will allow no reasonable argument (like yours) against it, even by well credentialed experts. Certainly a solid object which actually became physically shorter would increase in density. The "contraction" is only in the direction of movement relative to an observer, they say... No increase in transverse length to compensate. The editors here will not address the issue. My user name was LCcritic. Thanks for your contribution.
