Boomerang (Band) new article content ... Boomerang (band)
Formed from a chance meeting in mid 91 between Andy Bollen and Ross Clark in The Staging Post pub in Airdrie, Lanarkshire, by possibly the only two people there who had heard of Nirvana at that time. Bollen had been the drummer in Captain America and toured on the 91 Nirvana tour. Clark was at that time trying to form a band with Ian McInnes, now a noted photographer (POSED magazine), with whom he shared a flat at that time.
Andy Bollen was the primary songwriter and creative influence.
Originally rehearsing at Calderbank Studios in association with The Dazes, Boomerang was an indie / rock / pop band with strong 60s pop and indie / grunge influences. They had associations with the studios at Petersburn Studios in Airdrie and the City Studios in Glasgow's Saltmarket.

The band finally drifted apart in 1996 as the drummer, Mark Elliot, and guitarist, Tom Roche, pursued new projects and the creative talent, Andy Bollen, increasingly focussed on writing and comedy projects
