Rangitata Island Aerodrome is a small airfield owned & operated by the Brodie family.It's located on Rangitata Island about halfway between Timaru & Ashburton. Rangitata Island aerodrome is also home to Geraldine flying group, Airgear aviation shop, Ross Brodie memorial musem, De Havillands over New Zealand collection, Shadows of Hawks WWI replica collection & New Zealand Microlight heritage musem (all owned & operated by Brodie family).
Gearaldine Flying Group
[edit]Geraldine flying group has over 200 members & has a fleet of 6 Rans aircraft Rans S-6es Coyote II trike ZK-JHZ, Rans S-6es Coyote II trike ZK-RHZ (under construction as of June 2011), Rans S-6es Coyote II taildragger ZK-RIA (under construction), Rans S-7 ZK-SVN (under construction) & Rans S-10 Sakota ZK-ECA.
