Diastole /daɪˈæstəliː/ is the part of the cardiac cycle when the heart refills with blood following systole (contraction). The term diastole originates from the Greek word διαστολη, meaning dilation. Ventricular diastole is the period during which the ventricles are filling and relaxing, while atrial diastole is the period during which the atria are relaxing. Diastole is closely related to the phenomenon of recoil within ballistics.
Brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) is a cardiac neurohormone secreted from ventricular myocytes at the end of the diastole. Evidence has shown that increased BNP concentrations are correlated to diastolic heart failure.[1]

Review of Article
-A citation for the last sentence of the lead could be useful
-I think that the graph under Roles of Cardiac Cycle could be further explained, as it is a useful tool for understanding
-Under diagnostic value I think you could add a sentence on what normal ranges are, and then maybe some specific disorders and what the observed diastolic values typically are
-What does BNP do?
