Roger-Pierre, aka Roger Pierre, is a close-up magician. Author of The Magic of Francis Carlyle, and has performed on Johnny Carson's Tonight Show, The Toni Tenille Show, and had a character, The Mad Hatter, on The Gong Show. And has also performed at The Magic Castle in Los Angeles.
Born Roger Pierre Frelier, he took the professional name Roger Pierre, but added the hyphen when first joining The Screen Actors Guild. He is also a fifth generation French trained chef, with a brevet de cuisine from Le Pot au Feu in Paris. The family owned and ran L'Omellette in Palo Alto, Ca, and Chez Yvonne in Mountain View, often referred to as "the executive dinning rooms" of many of Silicon Valley's electronic firms, such as H-P, Intel, Apple, etc..
From 1957 - 1978, he was The Entertainers Chef at Sahara Tahoe. Cooking for such notables as Rich Little, Ann - Margret, Dean Martin, Toni Orlando, Johnny Cash, Charo, Doug Kershaw. Personal chef to over 50 top entertainers.
