Hello! I am new to Wikipedia, as of late 2014. I have a Master's degree in American History, with specializations in the 20th century and colonial periods. However, my interest in history is not limited to any one nation or time period, and it is not limited to political events. I am interested in world history, with history defined as broadly as possible, including culture, social changes, science, and technology.

I briefly taught United States history at the college level before a career in California state government. I am now retired and looking forward to using my knowledge to contribute to Wikipedia's history resources.
