I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that the record label and the band know what the album is titled. So I'm gonna go ahead and revert that until you can find a real source. Help

Help you do what? Are you starting a Testament project? Someone should start a thrash metal taskforce under the WP:HMM... I think. Problem is... that Wiki-project is populated with teenager/schoolkids who aren't very good editors. A thrash task force would just be a magnet for the lowest common denominator from that pack.

PS I like WarCry. Create composition. Power metal is so generic... so boring cookie cutter metal... it takes something special to make it sound slightly different. Eveeryone always seems to focus on guitars... for them I think the standout is the very precise drumming... very technical... but very tight. Haven't listened to it all yet. Will get to it in time. I don't particularly care for St. Anger the studio album... simply because of the 311 snare drum "ping" sound. But the DVD that came with it that has Robert Trujillo playing on it is much much better... WAY more interesting. I met Metallica on several occasions back in the days between Kill "em All and Ride The Lightning. Had several outstanding music conversations with Cliff Burton, who was an amazing talent. If he were still alive Metallica's music wouldn't be much different than what it is right now. Burton was a huge ZZ Top fan... a huge Rush fan... he believed in "progress" in music. I never fell in with the crowd that just wanted them to keep releasing the same album over and over and over again. The Black Album... just a sound they had always tried to achieve... right from the first album. My Friend of Misery is one of the best heavy metal songs of the early 1990s. The Load/ReLoad sound... again... new territory... new sounds... new styles... some of it stale... some of it great. Thorn Within, Outlaw Torn, Bleeding Me, Carpe Diem Baby, Low Man's Lyric again... not just the best heavy metal songs of the mid 1990s... but a few of Metallica's greatest songs... period. Those two albums show more Cliff Burton influence than most people know to give them credit for... that was "his" style of music. St. Anger... the album that went completely opposite... on purpose... to what every one expected them to do... takes a lot of balls to do that. And now the new one... a plain jane speed metal album... the album everyone expected them to do... only they did it their own way. Master of Puppets is one of the best heavy metal albums ever recorded by anyone. And Metallica never made any attempt to repeat it... and thank goodness. I haven't spoken to anyone in the band in over 20 years. My cousin is still pretty good friends with them. He says James, Lars and Kirk are still the same people they were back in 1984. What does that mean? To those of us who knew them in '84... James and Kirk are still cool... Lars is still a d*nk. :-D. Just like the old days. Out of the "big four of thrash"... I was always of the belief that Anthrax made the most interesting music between the four of them.

I am not familiar with the formatting of the discography project. I don't think I'd be much help with the article. Unless it requires citations. I am librarian remember... I have citations at my fingertips everyday at work. The Real Libs-speak politely 02:15, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

I am only browsing the odd page looking for vandalism and trolling. That's the easy way out over actual editing tonight. I have spent a grand total of 10 minutes all night actually looking at Wikipedia. I just got a new 7 week old dog. A Mastiff/Boxer mix. It's way more entertaining than Wikipedia.... WAY more. When I am at work I have electronic access to a huge database of periodicals and pro publications related to music (and everything else) It take some time to scroll through. Panic (band)...

Im gonna have to disagree with you taking Panic out of the associated acts. The associated acts are to include bands that either a) Metallica sprang from (which Panic definitely falls under this category, because a few versions of songs from Kill 'Em All came from this band) or b)sprang from Metallica.....that being said Exodus does not fall into either category....While I agree that the Panic page is lacking, it does at least have a blurb that makes Panic much more notable in the associated acts than Exodus...Arch stanton1138 (talk) 16:16, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

Here's an example of a non-English footnote citation. The quote in the footnote is for when the original source is in Spanish and you have translated it. All you really have to do is add "quote" as a parameter in the citation and place the original *(Spanish) quote after it. Here's what it would look like when you type it:

If you manipulate only the text, because I had a lot of work to add the references that you insists on remove, okay. About the project, I can help you if you're ready. I imagine that you have plenty of material about the band, or almost all books. Cannibaloki 03:51, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

The notes you've added, are not so important to the article, anyway, to be added again need references. The catalog numbers, should be viewed by all at normal size. The external links section is ready, Discogs is not a reliable source, and MySpace wounds WP:ELNO (we already have the official website of Iron Maiden). I'm also trying to make the EPs section is similar to Box sets, so the addition of "EPs charts peaks" in the table makes strange positions and not add in anything, and that can be easily found in its main articles. I think that the error has to do with the dates, but I'm not sure. Take a look at the page: List of Nine Inch Nails live-band members and the same problem here. Hey, no problem. Overall it looks good, just a few things..

• Iron Maiden are a British heavy metal band founded in 1975 by bassist and only permanent member Steve Harris. - I would use "original member" versus "permanent."
• Iron Maiden broadened their sound with the use of synthesizers in Somewhere in Time (1986). - link to "synthesizers?"
• Their follow-up concept album, Seventh Son of a Seventh Son (1988), perfected this new approach[7] and topped the UK charts.[4] - perfected sounds like POV in this sentence, is it possible to reword to say that same thing to avoid a POV?
• The next year, Dickinson departed from the band. - next--->following
• Dickinson and Smith returned to the band in 1999; Janick Gers remained as member. - add an "a" after "as." But first of all why do you note that he was still in the band, if he didn't leave, there's no need to say he never left.--S_RX 23:57, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

Considering I managed to make the timeline finally work (copying the height of a similar one), you just need some more references, and an intro that describes the article (similar to the one you and the other guy wrote in Iron Maiden discography, but focusing on the line-up changes - for inspiration, besides the NIN one I linked, there are other three FLs, and one that's also comprehensive). All I think is needed are a few more refs in the lead (to state when/why the members left), and discover if one more guy deserves a space in the former members (Tony Parsons may have recorded Metal for Muthas). Maybe this will be achieved by finding someone with those books mentioned in the Iron Maiden article.
