I've been a hooked Wikipedian since September of 2005. I hail from rural Connecticut, a boring (but beautiful) corner of the USA, and since there's not much to do around here I spend a lot of my time surfing the internet. My hobbies include playing guitar, travel and following sports (especially baseball).
I consider myself a casual philologist. I am a fluent speaker of English, a proficient student of Japanese and a former Spanish learner. I hope to improve my ability in both of those languages enough to start translating foreign-language Wikipedia articles to English, but I don't think that will happen anytime soon. I would love to learn Arabic, Russian and Chinese at some point in the future.
Ever since I was a little squirt, I have felt a strong attraction to baseball caps. To me they are the epitome of sports apparel: they show the wearer's support of a team, they are fashionable and they block the sun from your eyes! So, I made a promise to myself that I would visit every major leagueballpark and buy the home team's hat (it must be the official, fitted New Era cap!).
