On April 2, 2021. The series had been ordered for two seasons consisting of 12 episodes in total, for HBO Max. Later that week HBO ordered an additional 10 episodes and a third season. The series has been renewed for a fourth season, ahead of the second seasons premiere.

Mayor Reese presents Blacota aka Siyena. Her father congratulates her and takes her out for pizza. Starman comforts her and asks her to join the fight against Yarag. But she declines the offer. Yarag breaks into Mayor Reese’s home and kills him that night, he morphs into him and pretends to act like Reese. | ||||

In a dream, Yarag is seen as a young child, his mother being killed by humans in front of him. When he awakes, he is still Mayor Reese and has to dispose of the body of the real Mayor Reese. He tries his best to pretend to be the mayor, but when his assistant Bob (Josh Gad) discovers the body, he is forced to kill him. Which causes the police to try and arrest him, he reveals himself as Yarag and causes a curse over New York. His sidekick Edwin (Michael Peña) decides to turn against him, and he escapes and finds Starman. | ||||
