Malayalam Television

Malayalam Television USA is the first regional channel started from outside of India by Pravasi Malayalees and the only Indian General Entertainment Channel aired from US. Malayalam Television USA covers news and events exclusively in North America, and is currently the second highest rated American South Indian channel on the Malayalam IPTV Platform. The channel broadcasting is in the south Indian language of Malayalam, widely spoken in the Indian state of Kerala, some regions of Tamil Nadu, other South Indian states and among Malayalee expatriates across the globe.

Channel History

The launch of Malayalam IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) for Non Resident Keralites (NRK) was announced on May 11 2011 by BVJS communications LLC. With studios located in New York, Chicago, Florida, Dallas and Washington, the channel is owned by BVJS Communications LLC.

BVJS Communications LLC is a joint venture by Mr. Baby John Uralil, C.E.O, Mr. Varkey Abraham, Chairman, Mr.JohnTitus, President and C.F.O . Mr. Sunil Tristar is the Creative Head of Malayalam Television. Baby John Uralil is the Chairman, C.E.O of Ace Labs. Mr.Uralil is a renowned businessman, a medical technologist who owns and runs Multi-Million dollar revenue labs in New York and Texas. He is the President of FOMAA which is the largest umbrella organization of Malayalee Associations in North America. Also the Founder and former President of NY Malayalee Chamber of Commerce, Former President of Knanaya Association, New York and Founder and President of Knanaya Catholic Congress of North America. Varkey Abraham is the Chairman/C.E.O of Eric shoes and leather, which is Multimillion dollar business, dealing with main stream shoe stores across North America, Asia and Middle East for over 25 years. He is also Current President of Indian Chamber of Commerce of New York, and is an active member in various community development activities for over 25 years in various capacities. He is also one of the Board of Directors of Hanover Bank and Mortgage Corporation in New York. John Titus is the Chairman/C.E.O of Aero Controls Inc., which provides quality products and services in aerospace technologies. He is among the top 30 selected Indian Businessmen from USA who was chosen to visit India with US Commerce Secretary Founded .He is also renowned in the socio cultural activities of Malayalee expatriates. He was the President of FOMAA federation of Malayalee Associations in North America and has also been heading many social organizations across country. Sunil Tristar is a veteran in the media industry and a seasoned professional with over 20 years in the audio/visual production. He was instrumental and played a pivotal role in the initial launch of the first Malayalam channel in North America, Asianet. He is also a Producer, Director and Writer who has produced thousands of programs News and Entertainment based. US Weekly Roundup, America Today, Rhythm USA, Hridayapooram from USA, US immigration with Ram Cheerath, America Today, US opportunities and thousands of other Programs for Associations. He has also received numerous awards and recognition from prestigious associations across North America in the field of Visual Media including Kerala Center in the Media category and the latest being the Frame Media Award, for the best Foreign Produced TV program outside of Kerala from Honorable Home Minister of Kerala.

Coverage and Viewership

The channel's Target Rating Point (TRP) rating has increased tremendously in past 6 months which reflects their aggressiveness in the media industry. They are live on www.emalayalee.com, www.malayalamiptv.net, www.malayalamtv.tv and registers average of 5000 hits daily.
