Barry Allen is a forensic scientist who gains super-speed after a lightning bolt strikes his lab and douses him with chemicals, granting him access to the Speed Force—a mysterious extradimensional energy source.
The Speed Force gives the Flash extraordinary abilities beyond mere running speed. The character became even more popular with the CW’s The Flash TV show starring Grant Gustin, and he’s appeared in several Justice League movies, played by Ezra Miller.
